singandsew 0 Posted February 22, 2007 Hi, I'm Merrillee, and I'm new here. Been on OH online a lot in the past. Just heard about LapBandTalk today from a nice gal in Dr. Oh's office, Jennifer. Thanks for pointing me here. Email me, and we'll talk. Got a surgery date of April 3. Very cool. Hubby is totally on board and very helpful. Wants to see me healthy and off the many meds I now take for diabetes, high bp, cholesterol, etc. Sheesh. We are self-paying, but it's worth it.....much better for us than anything else we could do with the $$ at this point. My favorite hobbies are singing at church, etc. and sewing....mostly for my doggies. I also have a business making clothes for pet boutiques. It's a lot of fun and keeps the hubby off my case for all the time I was already spending at the fabric store....lol. I'm sure that as soon as my own kids start having babies there will be lots of matching doggie and baby outfits. So, anyone from the Tacoma/Gig Harbor area here? Let's get together via email and make a support group! Merrillee

nbjen 0 Posted February 22, 2007 Hi Merrillee, I'm pretty new here too and hoping to get banded. I'm just starting my journey and will be self pay too. I think I'm going to go with Dr Fox out of Tacoma. I think he is the same price as Dr Oh but can you tell me if any of the follow up appointments are included in your initial price? I'm just curious. For Dr. Fox your appointments are included for the first 90 days and then I will have to pay for each one. I think it's a great investment too!!! I live in East King county. Congrats on your surgery date and sounds like you have a great supportive hubby - I do too! Jen
singandsew 0 Posted February 22, 2007 Hi, As far as I remember, the fee includes one follow-up and one fill....but I could be wrong. You should probably call and find out. Mer
