amelo 5 Posted July 24, 2013 How much weight can an average person loose in a week after surgery?
DLCoggin 1,788 Posted July 24, 2013 It is always a bad idea to compare yourself to, or set your expectations based on, the results of others. The fact that my weight loss may be different from yours means absolutely nothing. There are simply too many variables. Consider focusing that energy on following the protocol as closely to the letter as you possibly can, log you food, stay active and stay away from the scales for a week at a time - two would be even better. Allow your body to find its own way in its own time. You're gonna love the new you!! 3 Fairyluver75, kristy3k and lahdeedah reacted to this
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted July 24, 2013 I was told to expect 2-4 pounds a week IF following the rules, for the first several months. But listen to DL.
terry1118 1,274 Posted July 24, 2013 I was told to expect 2-4 pounds a week IF following the rules' date=' or the first several months. But listen to DL.[/quote'] Ditto on listening to DL. Besides, in my first week I only lost all the Fluid weight I gained the day of surgery. But I expected that. You're setting yourself up for disappointment if you try to measure your success by another's. Everyone is different. Follow your team's instructions, track your own success, and Celebrate every personal milestone - they are uniquely your own! :-) 3 countrygirl, SoccerMomma73 and DLCoggin reacted to this
Sparklette 381 Posted July 25, 2013 Everyone is different, if you have more weight to begin with you will lose more in the first couple months. 1 Ammariehs mommy reacted to this
ajustice 484 Posted July 25, 2013 How much weight can an average person loose in a week after surgery? I got very upset and totally put myself in angst I probably never needed to have when I was getting caught up about how much others were losing more than me. We all start out different shapes and sizes. Even when my weight stalled I was losing inches and changing sizes. I'm learning to measure my success..not by the number on the scales all the time but the strength I'm gaining and the measurements I can see! It truly varies. I've had big losses in weeks and none in others. 1 DLCoggin reacted to this
