sageandcoyesmommy 28 Posted July 23, 2013 I'm just wondering if anyone has had their lab results interfere with surgery? I had all of my pre-op labs drawn, ekg, and chest xray on Saturday. I just got a message from my doctor's office saying they needed to talk to me. It's too late to call them back today and I'm assuming they want to talk about my results. So now I'm freaking out that something is wrong and I won't be able to have it done.

sageandcoyesmommy 28 Posted July 23, 2013 My surgery hasn't been scheduled yet. I'm just working on the pre-op requirements that have to be done before submitting the request to my insurance company.
sageandcoyesmommy 28 Posted July 23, 2013 I hope It's just a Vitamin deficiency
Sparklette 381 Posted July 23, 2013 I had traces of H-pylori when I had my blood work done, and that postponed my surgery for 4 weeks while I was on antibiotics.
kjrny2013 33 Posted July 24, 2013 I got that call too before surgery and it was to let me know my Vitamin D was so low that I had to take a prescription 50,000 unit once a week for 8 weeks. It did not postpone my surgery but I did start it a few weeks before.
clmomof2 16 Posted July 24, 2013 I got the call too. I am anemic, A1C rocket high and vit D deficient. It did not interfer w surgery date.
sageandcoyesmommy 28 Posted July 24, 2013 I'm so glad to hear that it didn't interfere too much with yalls surgeries! I'm still playing phone tag with the nurse, but hopefully we'll get in touch soon.
sageandcoyesmommy 28 Posted July 24, 2013 Finally spoke with the nurse and found out my Vitamin D levels are very low. I'll start a supplement and they'll check again in 12 wks, but it won't change when I can have surgery yay! 2 Ammariehs mommy and vicki s reacted to this
