LissaLou 6 Posted July 21, 2013 I'm not looking forward to the required pre-op complete physical. And, I've not been to a gynecologist in a LONG time due to lack of insurance and embarrassment over my weight. Anyway, exactly how do you prep your lady parts (beyond soap/water) for the exam? SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted July 23, 2013 He got records from my gun that my pap was up to date. I perform paps several times a week. If you do have to have a pap. Jst wash with soap and Water. DO NOT DOUCHE!!!! It can wash away things we need to see on the exam. Good luck, you'll be fine, and it is totally worth it! (And you need a pap anyway if it's been that long!!!!) pookybear 284 Posted July 23, 2013 I'm sure they're making you have one only because it's been so long. Really no other prep other than washing as you normally would with soap and Water. Like Soccermomma said, definitely don't use anything more than a normal mild soap and only wash the outside. And it'll be over before you know it. I barely feel anything when they do mine.
