shawna29 60 Posted August 27, 2013 Why didn't anyone tell me how much pain I would feel!!!! On the plus side five days out and fifteen pounds gone. SD:8/21/
bloreorbust 286 Posted August 27, 2013 Is it that painful when you come home? I was in a lot of pain when I woke up from surgery, but this little button is carrying me through. Don't know how much to expect when I come home. Way to go on the weight loss! This is only the beginning!
TXlady19 2 Posted August 27, 2013 I just found this app and registered. My surgery was August 19. I've finally lost all my IV Fluid post op weight gain. Getting tired of drinking my meals. No major issues so far just very tired and finding it hard to get in 3 Protein Shakes a day. 1 naynay209 reacted to this

bloreorbust 286 Posted August 27, 2013 How did you all manage to sleep in the hospital? There are so many beeps going on I jist can't get all the way into aleep. I am using my special button, but still only managed to sleep about an hour so far. Maybe I'm just excited. Even though my pain shot to about a 7 when I stood for the first time earlier, inside I feel like going for a walk in the city on what I bet is a beautiful night. Finally the anxiety and fear of surgery are relieved and I just feel so happy my life is starting anew :-).

prettynpink 19 Posted August 27, 2013 Good luck you two! And I've just been sleeping off and on every hour or so with the beeps. It's pretty annoying. Plus when I wake up I hit my pain button.

You'll never get any sleep in the hospital. At least that is my experience. Praying for a speedy recovery for us all. I don't have to be at the hospital until 7:30. The wait is a killer lol
kparadisek 115 Posted August 27, 2013 Good luck to everyone having surgery today! My surgery went great. I don't let the pain sit in because I make sure they keep me drugged. I've done a lot of walking and a lot of sleeping even with all the beeps. My back is where I feel the pain. I'm glad all my buddies are doing good! Keep us posted on your updates. bloreorbust 286 Posted August 27, 2013 Off to swallow test in a few. My heart has been a bit slow during the night so I may need to stay in IMCU another night. But if all goes well I will move to another room and start getting sips of Water soon. Hope all my surgery buddies are doing well. Blessings to everyone going today.
