So today is day one of my pre op diet...Just finished dinner and surprisingly im feeling pretty content, considering the huge difference in the size of my meals. During the day though I did find myself getting really hungry, which I know is obviously normal lol. But I stuck to my guns and ate only what I was supposed to, the amount i was supposed to, and when i was supposed to. So in that regard i am a little proud of myself. :) I know it will get harder before it gets any easier, but im determined. I think the hardest part of my day was having to make my kids something to eat...and making myself NOT take a bite of it lol...but atleast i can stay out of the kitchen for the rest of the evening. :) So all in all today was a decent day for me on day 1 of my pre op diet.

What does your diet consist of? I started mine today too and my head is hurting. Three Protein Drinks and lots of Water are kicking my booty. Only 13 more days to go!

My Pre op diet consists of 4oz cooked Protein, 4oz frozen or fresh vegetables,4oz fresh or frozen fruit, 8oz non fat or 1% milk or plain low fat yogurt.

So to spread it out through the day this is what i've been doing.

Breakfast-1oz string cheese, 2oz apple slices.

Mid morning 8oz Protein Drink w/non fat milk.

Lunch-1 1/2oz grilled chicken, 2oz green Beans.

Mid afternoon 8oz Protein Drink w/water

Dinner-1 1/2 oz chicken OR fish, 2oz green Beans, 2oz orange OR apple slices.

My last meal is at 6pm..oh, and drink lots of Water. My pre op appointment is this friday the 12th and i assume they will tell me to start my liquid diet 2 days before my surgery. I've also been getting headaches and sweating for some reason..the sweating is on and off..i don't know what that's all about.
