oldoneyoungagain 200 Posted July 9, 2013 3 tablespoons of liquid egg white has 5 grams of Protein. This equals one large egg. Egg whites are very good for you, it is the yoke that creates a cholesterol issue. I have eaten egg white omlettes (cheese and veggies added) and to me they are great. Down issue is only if you are allergic to eggs. I buy liquid egg whites in a container as I do liquid eggs, as I can increase my protein count by adding cheese. I don't think this is a "new" protein as eggs are recommended in all WLS as a source of protein if you can eat them. I can, but really have difficulty with hard boiled eggs, they are too dry and hard to swallow for me. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
oldoneyoungagain 200 Posted July 9, 2013 Might add, since your body can only utilize 30 grams of Protein at a time, my protein is 20 grams and by adding liquid whites to it I can increase the protein to get that 30 grams in, thus apx two more shakes I pretty much reach my goal for the day also my liquid intake.
