Yes, I had them for my bday last night. They taste just like regular Oreos, but made me queasy. I ate two and felt yucky for the rest of the night.

They have malitol as the sweetener, which can really irritate even the healthiest most normal digestive system. Use in moderation!

Yes that sugar alcohol messes up my diabetes too. Anything with flour sends my blood sugar flying too. Im not supposed to have any fun food- but like i said before, i am a big bad cheater. Maybe dumping syndrome will teach me to behave. Come on insurance.

We can get them in Indiana at Krogers, marsh and target. You can also order them from Amazon.com. :-)

Yes, don't be fooled. Though they taste good and are sugar free.. They are NOT healthy and CAN cause you to pack on pounds if eaten in excess. I got sick when I had them so beware!

Of course :) I haven't had them since WLS I think but when I heard sugar free I figure hey I can have just 1 if I find them.

I've seen so many people derailed by these types of products. If Cookies are a trigger keep them out.

Wise advice. The idea is to change bad habits. We need to learn to eat healthier options, not replace old favorites with items that are similar in looks and taste. Try some treat that is totally different - healthy but delectable. Sliced fruit of your choice, topped with or dipped in ff cool whip or light whipped cream. Sliced berries in sf Jello with a dab of lite cool whip (I used to make this in a pie shell for my family but it's just as good in a pretty wine glass).

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
