SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted July 9, 2013 I was 10 pounds for 6 weeks....when I had my lap band I also had a 5 year old smuggler (who is now a 9 year old smuggler) and our rule was he had to let mommy sit down then he could climb up on my lap but I could not pick him up. I am moving all over the house...up and down the stairs....bending ove....well at least am not lifting my 4yr old son, and today on of my incision hrt. Plus todays am having a sad day. shershrinking 53 Posted July 10, 2013 The first month you probably have extra Fluid, swelling in intestines and or surrounding tissues. Plus they pump you really full of fluids in surgery so you dont get dehydrated. It takes longer to get rid of that Water weight after surgery.
