Stopping at the pharmacy to pick up pain meds then headed home, talk about a painful ride home geez Any thoughts on applying heating pads to relieve bloating, good or bad idea?

Grabbed a heating pad at Walgreens, also using frozen veggies :)y

Are you feeling better now? I didn't have a whole lot of post op pain except on the left side. Hope you had a good holiday

Generally speaking you should use ice not heat on a new incision but make sure you don't apply it directly to the skin. Put a towel in between. Good luck!

I was allowed to use a heating pad right after surgery. It was awesome! Helped the pain and stiffness plus I think it helped the gas (I had pretty much no gas pain). Used the heating pad regularly until 6-7 weeks post op. even took it to work the first 2 weeks I was back.
