I've been walking like crazy...I've burped a ton though

I had surgery 09/16 @ 10:00 CST and didn't start passing gas until today 09/18. It makes you feel better, so hopefully it will start soon. My husband is acting like a drill sergeant and he makes me walk, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I'm trying to be as independent as I can. I still make my son's meals and cups, but since he is over 10 lbs I can't pick him up for 3 weeks :( I walk around the house pretty good.

Hey guys!! Nervous wreck here. Monday I started to have foot pain' date=' so Tuesday I saw the dr and thought it was gout, blood work done. By end of day swelling was huge. She thought I had a blood clot so went for a doppler this morning, got blood results which sed rate was sky high. Was called back to hospital for more test. Now I am waiting to go to specialist on Monday. They want me to take aspirin but only two days cause Friday is last day for blood thinners. Please say a little prayer that he is gonna release me for surgery on the 27th.[/quote']

sending prayers your way...

I haven't farted or had a bm either. Very worried bc i am soo tender that I am not sure how I can. Got out of the hospital today and boy was that crazy. Had to go around town looking for a pharmacy that actually had roxicodone and would supply for my insurance. Some tears were shed. Im ok now but the meds don't seem to last the full four hours in between. Tummy very swollen. Crossing my fingers that I can get back to work as scheduled.

I've had a BM. My surgeon told me he'd let me go home if I farted and literally 10 minutes later I thought I had to fart but it was more LOL (TMI). Now they have to see if I'm tolerating the liquids but I'm hoping they let me go. I'm getting frustrated.

I have the urge to want to throw up today, I really hope I don't, because I heard it was super painful.

I've thrown up twice and it's not fun at all. Hurts like a bitch. They keep telling me to "listen to the pouch" and not to push it.

I find it weird I have 4 holes and a hole for a drainage tube. They are all on my lower stomach. From pictures it looks like 5 holes in the shape of a V. Wonder why mine are different.

I keep asking them, which do you want damn it?! It's basically impossible right now for me to get 64oz of Water and 80 grams of Protein in. I'm walking great and I'm finally starting to not feel so full.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
