mamakat122002 0 Posted September 8, 2013 Yes they warned me about food fantasies though I never thought they would be this bad. I have wanted a crab cake or chicken broccoli thin crust pizza for the last 3 days. Now mentally I know I can't and when i finally can the crab has to be baked and I won't eat more then two bits of the pizza or crab but the fantasies are still there. I am not eating too much post OP or to fast but my problem has been my sips take a lot of air with them when I am drinking my fluids. I have done more ice chips and sf popsicles to avoid it but any other liquids air bubbles come and they are so uncomfortable.
BroJoe 28 Posted September 8, 2013 Had my surgery Friday! Im now sitting up in the chair in my room, just finished a carnation instant breakfast... Waiting about an hour (maybe two) to be cleared to go home! Hopefully I'll be home before 1 oclock kickoffs! 1 sageandcoyesmommy reacted to this

oldoneyoungagain 200 Posted September 9, 2013 Thanks! Good luck to you too! I've been so excited this whole time, but now I'm starting to get nervous Thank you. The surgery itself isn't bothering me, just hope I can follow the rules and not make problems for my self. All the doctors have confidence in me, it is just me that doesn't have the confidence. I know I can lose weight, just hope I can keep it off once I get there. I'm a 71 year old with a metabolism of a 90 year old and a mind of a 40 year old. Let me know how you do. Will be thinking of you. 1 sageandcoyesmommy reacted to this
newme50 7 Posted September 10, 2013 Been on liquids for 5 days, had a weigh in this morning and all was good THEN. I caved and ate half a small cheeseburger. Surgery is Wed, will this really affect my surgery? Should I tell them??
stitchergirl88 24 Posted September 10, 2013 I don't think one isolated occurance is going to change the size of your liver. Just be strict from here on out, you got this!
newme50 7 Posted September 10, 2013 I'm more worried about the food still being in my stomach - is that possible?
SueC1 27 Posted September 10, 2013 Been on liquids for 5 days' date=' had a weigh in this morning and all was good THEN. I caved and ate half a small cheeseburger. Surgery is Wed, will this really affect my surgery? Should I tell them??[/quote'] I gave in too. Three days before my surgery, I had a polish sausage from costco. I ate the entire thing but one bite. I was like you worried that the surgeon would know and cancel the surgery. However, I just stayed on track from that point on and my surgery was successful with no complications... Don't stress about it. It is over with now. Just stay on track until then. Good luck.
ShineBright724 70 Posted September 10, 2013 I caved too. I had Doritos then I felt like a loser lol. But let's get back on track! I'm struggling with you until Monday at 5am! 1 Amanda R reacted to this
stitchergirl88 24 Posted September 10, 2013 It won't be in your stomach bc you have a couple days still left and you have to do the bowel cleanse with mag citrate that will take it all out.
