shawna29 60 Posted July 5, 2013 I don't have a number in mind, I just want to be confident and healthy. I don't know how many pounds that will take. SD:8/21/13 1 Anniesmom12 reacted to this
PittGuy 201 Posted July 5, 2013 I kind of made one up but have not received one from the surgeon.

I feel the same way, I just want to be healthy, happy and confident. Someone asked me today how much I want to lose. And I have no idea. I've never been thin so I don't have a number. I just think I'll know when I feel good and comfortable.
McLynz 3 Posted July 5, 2013 I never had one in mind either, and I thought I was the only one!! I will be happy with being able to buy clothes in the "regular size" section again and checking all those things off my goal list. The numbers don't mean a whole lot to me. shershrinking 53 Posted July 5, 2013 I want to lose 100 pounds, & get down to 150 (i am 5ft9inch) but doc said 160 is my goal. My HW was 290. Waiting for insurance approval.

TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted July 5, 2013 I only had a number cuz I view the BMI chart & healthy was 125lbs but doctor put me at 140lbs as a total results for me. He haven't seen me for a while. I'm 110lbs so he is in for the shock of his life. When I reach under 125lbs I wasn't disappointed but set a new goal of 110lbs. I don't want to get smaller. I'm a size 1 the next size is 0 but I wouldn't mind 0 next year after plastic surgery since I'm getting rid of my tummy but I don't want to be under 110lbs I think it's dangerous for me as I'm short 5 foot 34 years old mother of 3. I'm already close to my daughter weight.
Anniesmom12 181 Posted July 5, 2013 i just took a stab at saying 165... hoping to get there but I just wanna be able to be "normal" and feel good about how I look and be able to do things with my family. If I make it to 165 great... if I just make it to 200 great! I will be happy to not have to struggle with carrying all that weight around!

GG'sArtsMom 42 Posted July 5, 2013 I just want a bmi in the healthy range, once there, I don't care what my weight is.
DLCoggin 1,788 Posted July 5, 2013 My surgeon never mentioned a goal and I didn't want to know so I didn't ask. I went into the journey believing that my body would tell me when it was where it wanted to be and that's exactly what happened. I followed the protocol as closely to the letter as I could and when I stopped losing weight, that was the number - 155 lbs and loving the new me!! 1 Fairyluver75 reacted to this

SueC1 27 Posted July 6, 2013 I don't have a weight goal. I'll have to see how I feel and look when I get there! However, I do have the goal of getting rid of my diabetes, high blood pressure, gerd, leg & back pain!!!
terry1118 1,274 Posted July 6, 2013 We never discussed goals and no one set one for me. My only real goal is to feel better, be healthy, do things with my husband, and enjoy my life. 1 tlynn4love reacted to this
