PittGuy 201 Posted June 30, 2013 Is there anything that can be done to prevent stricture or is it just luck of the draw?
slowtogo 301 Posted June 30, 2013 I believe it's just luck of the draw.
Kurstin 72 Posted July 1, 2013 It's the way your body heals. They just happen to the unlucky. Lol a stricture doesn't really have a feeling. It just happens when you take something in. That's when the symptoms start. Surgery Date: May 2, 2013 - Amount Lost: 55lbs
TxDumplin 69 Posted July 1, 2013 So there is no pain with a stricture?
slowtogo 301 Posted July 1, 2013 Well there is. When food gets stuck it takes from uncomfortable to down right painful. Makes you barf repeatedly. Often feels like chest pains.
macy1952 0 Posted July 1, 2013 I had mine around 8 weeks, but probably started earlier since I was only doing liquids before. Two bites, pain, then had vomit - lot of foam. Even liquids got hard to take without vomiting. Felt bad very tired no energy. Thank God much better after dilated. Now no problem.
