Wow u look amazing! I'm 2 1/2 months post op and don't see a difference even though I'm down 49lbs :( I think its cuz my starting weight was so high so even after that much weight loss I'm still over 300lbs :(

I feel like I'm never gonna be "small" did u feel that way in yhe beginning or has it always just come off for you?

I started at 370 (well i was more than that but thats where I was at the 1st appt)...and I had trouble seeing any changes in the beginning. they were happening....but I just was so used to seeing me at 370+ that I couldnt see less. I felt like i'd never be small (and still do feel that way) but I can look at photos and tell a difference!! And now in the mirror I see a smaller me. hang in there...you'll get there!! You may never "feel" small...but you are!!

HW 317...today 162

I stalled multiple times and it has never come off :)

I have to remind myself with pictures constantly of the lose so far to help motivate me to see it is coming off! I really had to grieve my "best friend" (food) for months. I don't know if anyone else did but this was something I still struggle with! I have always been overweight and this has been life changing in all the right ways :) your still emotional from surgery and learning what you can/can't have...all normal! I assure you it will come off! Just follow your diet and exercise and it will come off!!

How long was the longest weight loss stall for you. I'm entering my fifth month and stalling to 0-1 lbs which I think is Water weight.

I am probably completely wrong in this thought but... I think weightloss stalls because the body thinks it is starving and slows its metabolism to store that fat. I think i trick it by eating higher calories one day every couple weeks- is that crazy? (i can just hear my nutrition coach scream)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
