Question- Weird mouth

I had surgery June 24 and I notice I have like a Lottie weird coating on my tongue and my mouth just feels funny... Is this normal?

You betcha! I had surgery june 11 and still have it my surgeon says its normal and it will go away on its own..... Mine even throws off a smell similar to moth balls! Its gross

I had that too. It freaked me out I went and bought a tongue scrapper. It went away but it looks sooooo gross. Lol. Hang in there it gets better!

I had that too. It went away when I moved to soft foods.

I brushed my tongue really really good then used listerine. My caseworker said to be careful if you are using a Meal Replacement like Boost ( we had to drink it for 4 weeks) it can cause thrush. If it did they would get a RX for it.

My first thought was to tell you to watch out for thrush. Idk if this helps but I notice whenever I have fake sugar, like crystal light or truvia in my tea, it leaves a weird film on my teeth, makes me feel like I need to brush them! Just a thought!

Thanks guys! I'm just gonna keep an eye on it. I have my first week post op appt Monday so I'm going to see what they say... I hope it's not thrush lol I did get a tongue scraper so thanks for the advice! it did help a little .
