I'm very discouraged right now because I'm at the 3 week stall. I work with 2 girls who also had the surgery. One INSISTS she lost almost 20 lbs a week for her first 2 months ( which we all know isn't true), but my other coworkers believe her so they think I'm already doing something wrong and I'm not! Ugh...

So I have this friend...love her dearly, one of my biggest supporters, had RNY about 4 years ago, frequently likes to remind me that she lost a pound a day, almost every day for 3 months...this always after she asks how I'm doing. Granted, she had WAY more to lose then I do but still occasionally want to strangle her, even though I love her!

HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 206.8

In the beginning I was asked over and over EVERYDAY -- How much have you lost??? Then when I started telling people that I didnt weigh everyday and I would update them when I did weigh, or go to the follow up appointments ...they slacked off of asking... now most ask about once a month. I still get tired of it since I have a stall issues it seems once a month!!

Hang in there...they will get tired of asking. I dont get tired of the compliments though!!

oooo I never thought about how annoying that could be. I have told quite a few people, I hope they don't get all annoying like that.

I also hate when people you're not close to ask "so how much have you lost now?" Eventually I'm gonna start saying, "A lot!" and leave it at that.

I've been pretty open about my upcoming surgery on July 16 but I have NOT suggested the surgery to my fat friends. I go into detail about it only if asked.

I have one co-worker who asks daily. I just keep saying," don't weigh daily so the same as last time you asked." Drives me bonkers.

I am a very slow loser, 14 months post op, have 23 more lbs to go and in a stall. My surgeon says I'm good at where I am right now and not to focus on my weight # but to keep eating properly, exercise... I run 5 miles a day, and Portion Control. I feel fantastic...I'm in a size 12, I would like to be a 8 or 10 but I will be satisfied with a 12 if that is what it is !!!

I did not tell a bunch of people I had surgery only a very select few family members and close friends, I had 110% support. When people that don't know I had surgery they compliment me on the weight loss and ask how.. I say diet and exercise!!

Someone once told me that when someone asks you a uncomfortable question that you don't want to answer just say "why do you ask"????? They stammer a bit and just change the subject.... it works for me every time !!! Hang in there you are doing fantastic, everyone loses at their own pace !!!! We are all different.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
