I stalled 2-3 months out, I actually one month only lost 1lb but then the next month I lost 30! Remember your body needs to catch up, this is traumatic for our bodies and it needs time to heal. The first two weeks post op I actually gained!! I was freaking out but it all comes off!!!

It's gotta be the date. Lol. I had mine the same day and I'm stalled. My Protein is up to about 55grams a day. I have increased my walking pace and distance the past two days so I'll see if that helps.

Lol it must be the Date!! Lets see if all this extra stuff works

Great to see someone else has the same issue as me and has the same surgery date I am trying to eat Protein in food but so hard I walk everyday I think I need to start my elliptical I'm just so exhausted at night time :-/ hope u get the scale moving soon Good luck Hun

I'm trying so hard, but I'm barely getting enough of anything in. Everything I eat sits very well, but I can only handle about a TBS at a time or I feel disgustingly full. I need to get myself on a better eating/shake routine or all my hair is going to fall out.

It is very interesting and disheartening to see anyone struggling. I felt terrible for almost 3 weeks after me surgery, but now I feel mostly well, even to the extent that I have had very little trouble. I can eat about 3 oz. of food at a time. I have some dizziness I think it is because I'm not getting either enough Protein or calories. Talk to your surgeon's and let them know if you're having problems. My surgeon was awesome. Best wishes,

Meg

I know your pain my hair is starting to fall out now not a lot but I'm freaking out about it I just saw someone suggest Protein shake pops I think I'm gonna try that and try oatmeal and add a half of banana also try meatballs I know it sounds strange but they have 14 grams of Protein so it helps a few spoons is all I can do but it adds up just keep trying don't give up I am trying. MY best this is very hard

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
