Yes and before surgery! I have a clotting disorder so I did 2 weeks before surg and afterwards. It wasn't fun but it was the safest thing for me and I'm glad I took every precaution and it ended up well.

I didn't. I'm glad too I don't think I could have given myself a shot. I did have them everyday for the week I was in the hospital.
