Dawnolson 85 Posted June 21, 2013 Slow weight loss doesn't mean someone isn't following the plan. I am 10 weeks today and have "only" lost 38 lbs. I have not cheated once. I get all my protein' date=' Water & Vitamins. I have not had a bite of bread, Pasta, rice or potato. Being a slow loser is frustrating...especially when you KNOW you aren't "eating like the surgery never happened"[/quote'] I'm a month out now and already stalled for two weeks! I have lost 15 lbs since surgery almost 50lbs total. I'm a slow looser too. I am still on soft foods even!! I'm happy though cuz I know sooner or later it's got to kick in. Started at 266 now 217 size 22 to 16 pants and 3x top to 1x loose but can't quite fit a XLG.
Gibbys Goddess 31 Posted June 21, 2013 OP-I empathize with your anxiety. My RNY was March 11, 2013, and I am down 61 pounds. BUT, in the past 6 weeks I've only lost 1-3 pounds a week. It is not melting off. But, I feel better due to all the e excise I am now able to do, and my size clothing size is moving down at a steady pace because I am exercising. So try to stay positive. It will come off at your own pace. Just keep eating right, try to exercise. It is really hard but try not to worry about others are losing and don't obsess over the scale. I struggle with that advice on a daily basis!

dolphinkrazy22 6 Posted December 23, 2015 Starting weight 224 lbs Surgery weight 217 lbs Surgery day 10/6/15 Current weight 178 Does anyone think that's bad? I feel like it should be more!
Mrs_B_12/16/15 11 Posted December 23, 2015 @@dolphinkrazy22 Hi, I think that's great. Just think most people lose 100 within a year and you have lost almost half that in 2 months. I had my surgery 12/16/15 and I weighed 224 the day of surgery, if I'm able to lose as much as you have that fast I will be super excited. : )
dolphinkrazy22 6 Posted December 23, 2015 Hello Mrs B! Congratulations on your surgery and I hope your doing well. Thank you for your reply. You hear a lot of people dropping more weight but I have read a lot about the more weight to loose, the faster it comes off. It seems I have been at a stall for a week now! I just hope that it keeps coming off! Best of luck to you! ????
dolphinkrazy22 6 Posted January 6, 2016 Hi Mrs B, How have you been doing? Your almost a month out already! How have you been feeling?
Mrs_B_12/16/15 11 Posted January 6, 2016 Hi, I'm actually doing really good for the most part, my only problem is making sure I get in all my fluids. I have lost some weight though I started at 226, surgery 223 and I'm at 204 now which I don't think is too bad considering tomorrow is my 3 week mark. I'm hoping to be on the track you're on because you've done really well : )
dolphinkrazy22 6 Posted January 6, 2016 Fluids are really hard for me still! Water sets on my stomach very heavy. I have been drinking coffee and I know that's a big no no! I crave it so much and it helps with the hunger. You are very close to where I was at three weeks. It sounds like you are doing awesome. I need to get back into drinking more Protein. I have been averaging about a 3 lbs loss each week! The weight seems to come noticeable after the 4th week. Keep up the good work!!
Mrs_B_12/16/15 11 Posted January 6, 2016 I know coffee is a no no too but I want some of McDonald's vanilla iced coffee so bad but I'm not sure if I would dump or not, you're doing really good though. Do you exercise and if so what kind of things? I walk on my treadmill or outside but I'm getting a little bored with that. I was wondering when I would start to notice something for myself besides my husband saying he does. Protein Shakes are a huge downfall for me so I try to eat almost anything that has it to make up for what I am lacking. How much have you lost now that you're at the 3 month mark? dolphinkrazy22 6 Posted January 6, 2016 I think the coffee at McDonalds would be too much sugar. You could try it but make sure it's a day when your home and have nothing to do, lol! I have only been exercising 3-4 times a week on the treadmill. It's getting boring too but that's all you should be doing for the first 6 wks. I am now at 171 lbs. I started at 224 lbs as my highest weight and surgery day was 217 lbs.
dolphinkrazy22 6 Posted January 6, 2016 Have you tried Premier Protein ready made shakes? I like the vanilla ones and you might like them too. Also, you can get some Carb Master milk at King Soopers that has more Protein than regular milk and less sugar. I mix the carb master milk with some Protein Powder I get from bariatric eating.com. It's very yummy!
