mamafine23 101 Posted June 19, 2013 No soda , huge coke drinker and I quit a month before my surgery and won't go back ... It's not worth it, no nutritional factors can come from it .
pookybear 284 Posted June 19, 2013 Haven't been a big soda drinker for years, but once in a great while I need something different. I've had it 3 times since surgery and honestly drank maybe half...if that...and threw the rest out.
terry1118 1,274 Posted June 19, 2013 I was a huge diet pepsi addict... I quit cold turkey after surgery' date=' I am a year+ post op and I have a diet soda every once in a while but I don't miss it at all. Actually it tastes very chemically now.[/quote'] It is chemicals. The acid will destroy tooth enamel (a fact provided by the two biology majors in the family) it is completely artificial, and has zero nutrition. If you MUST have a carbonated treat, try mixing two parts seltzer with one part grape juice (or whatever your favorite juice is). But it's definitely not a good idea early on, if at all. iamworthit 208 Posted June 20, 2013 Poor soda on the gunk that builds up on a car battery and see what it does. I saw that as a teen and haven't drank it since.
