I pray you and your husband get your little miracle soon.

Before GBS, I underwent fertility treatments and my little angel is an IUI baby. I am hoping in a year and a half, I will have already improved my fertility chances and it's going to hapen naturally, as it should. If not, thank God for fertility treatments and IUI.

To answer your question, there are many ladies who got pregnant after WLS. Chances increase considerably. Don't lose hope. :)

After WLS it's like your chances of getting preggo is like 80 percent you become fertile & might even have twins.

Most women become super fertile and birth control becomes ineffective (pill) so don't lose hope!

Yes!! It's very much possible but please wait at least a year to get pregnant. It's very hard being pregnant right after surgery (I got pregnant about 10-14 days post op after 14 years of infertility) and you want to learn how your new pouch works and adjust to living a healthier lifestyle first.

Hi .. Good luck and it will happen .. I was married for 15 years and had been trying to have a baby . I finally decided to have surgery because I had diabetes high blood pressure and high cholesterol . I had my surgery in 2009 and in Dec. 2010 had my son . As luck would have it I got pregnant again , my 2nd son was born Nov 2012 . Having this surgery was the best thing I could have done first for my health and second I was able to have two healthy boys

A few women in my pregnant after wls group are over 40 so it happens and the chances are greater after losing the weight. Good luck!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
