Today I had a Laughing Cow cheese wedge and it was sooo good. Can't have crackers yet so I ate it off of the wrapper. Popsicles have also helped with the urge of wanting crunchy food. I need to get more exercise in though.

Oh same here girl! Las week I had my first cheese n this week first egg. So I ate egg n cheese together. But i'm still in so much I can't exercise. I try to walk back n fourth on my porch, at least its something.

well I'm thankful for my surgeon! A ton of post op patients return to the hospital for dehydration because they can't keep up on fluids. my surgeon does NOT require Protein Shakes, they just want you to keep fluids up to prevent dehydration. Protein will come in time they say when you start eating. As long as your going pee and it's not dark in color your good. they want at least 64 oz of Fluid in and were doing almost that!!

Ur so lucky. I'm not gonna worry about not getting all 70g of protein in. its hard anyway plus taking it makes me sick to where I can't get liquids in.

That's exactly what my surgeon said. They're more focused on getting fluids in and getting the hang of the meals and Water swapping and then when on normal food concentrate on getting protein levels where they need to be.

I'm not on the phase for fish or tuna but my dr.. Told me if I chew it well I could have it. So I started out with tuna, it tasted so good compared to Wat I wss eating, then I waited a few days n baked me fish n seasoned it well. N I've tolerated it well. I was out all day n hadn't had any Protein so I got McDonalds fish n peeled the breaded area off which left hardly anything, this evening I ate a egg n cottage, i'm trying everything to stop the protein. Lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
