elli'smommy 160 Posted June 17, 2013 Hey Guys! So, does anyone else feel like they are totally obsessed with WLS? I feel like its all I can think about!! Sometimes my mood and demeanor is just total bitch! I feel like I've constantly got these running "what ifs..." stampeding through my head. Does it get better, the anxiety and stress, after surgery? Will my mind ever be mine to think of anything else again? C
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted June 17, 2013 Eventually but it is all consuming leading up to the big day!!! Then post op you get crazy hormones and may be crazy psycho again....thought I'd lost my mind the first 6 weeks post op...cried about everything, was depressed (I am so not a depressed person) worried and obsessed about every freaking thing. I was not a little ray of sunshine :/. Now it's just second nature. Where ever I go I'll find something okay to eat, I don't have to plot out every meal and every second of my life (I still plan meals ahead of time....that works best for me to not eat crap and get in Protein but if my co-workers decide to go out to lunch I know now I can gland ill be okay. ). Once it all starts to click it is pretty awesome! HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 210 3 elli'smommy, karlam29 and babs963 reacted to this

I think being on the other side will help calm some of this mental anguish down. :-). I'm going on vacation about 3 month post op so I've been worried about that as well. Glad to know its doable and gives me some hope!
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted June 17, 2013 I just got back from vacation (I'm 4 months post). Had to ponder menus a few times and got my but whooped by a half a scoop of ice cream (knew it was gonna happen but we'd just finished parasailing and were so hot and it looked soooo good, and I was so hungry! Oops!). You should feel fine to do whatever you want by 3 months, try not to stress
gra5u5 30 Posted June 17, 2013 I went on a cruise to Alaska last month at 3 months. I tried to watch my choices for meals but I lost 6 lbs. that week! I think from all the walking. You'll do fine! 1 elli'smommy reacted to this
