heather200202 73 Posted June 13, 2013 I'm 6 1/2 month post op and yesterday I had some issues. I got severely dizzy and was vomiting and I passed out on my bathroom floor but don't remember any of it. About an hour to a hour and a half I don't remember anything. My husband took me to the ER. I got a bag of fluids and some meds to help with the dizziness and nausea. I felt good besides still being dizzy when we left the ER. Well about 1 this morning it all started again except I remember everything. The ER doctor is passing it off as a inner ear infection but I don't think it is that. Has anyone else ever had an experience like this?? I'm going to my family doctor to start ruling issues out and if everything comes back ok I'm heading to my surgeons office. I didn't eat yesterday and whatever fluids I drank made me want to throw up. I'm sure some of this is dehydration but I don't think all of it is. So any suggestions I can get to get checked out at my family doctor would be great. Thanks HW: 331 SW: 11/26/12 319lbs CW: 219 05/26/13 GW:

I told them I think it was dehydration but they looked at me like I was crazy. Considering this is the same hospital that did my surgery....I know why they have a certain building for the wls doctors and why they have certain nurses. After the bag of fluids I felt so much better and came out of the daze I was in. But the nausea and dizziness I still have. I will let ya know what I find out. ElleG 394 Posted June 13, 2013 I have heard of people having ear issues with these symptoms, but better to be safe than sorry. Be careful driving until this is resolved!! Good Luck!
heather200202 73 Posted June 13, 2013 It's just dehydration. My ears look great. My doctor laughed when I told her the ER doctor didn't even check my ears. I have been dehydrated many times since surgery but this is the worse ever. Lesson learned. Just glad that's all it is. That scared me.
