futuremrsparker 288 Posted August 8, 2013 Whoever coined the phrase. " Dumping Syndrome" was kind of and undestimating asshole....im My opinion! I want to cast a firm vote for "Completly intense extreme and highly unpleasent bodly Fluid evacuation syndrome" CIEHUBFES.......For short I feel so abnormal. I have not dumped on anything yet. I have IBS so I assume its similar (if so, ugh!)... It kind of concerns me that I don't dump. Granted, I've been verrrrrry careful about the amount of sugar in my food. Never anything over 18/20grams, if that. Anything too fatty just make me throw whatever it is back up, but not dump... :/
kristlynngirl 184 Posted August 8, 2013 Knock on wood I haven't dumped either. And I've definitely eaten things I probably shouldn't have. Lucky I guess? Still not going to press my luck tho!
Jeepchick42 193 Posted August 8, 2013 I haven't dumped either yet. I think I have a VERY healthy fear of it. I only have about 10-20 grams of sugar a day and usually its closer to the 10. My nut said that I need to stay below 15grams per meal but I'm very scared to dump so I'm taking it to the extreme.
Weight Warrior 445 Posted August 8, 2013 Actually im right with all of you on the daily sugars, fats etc. read labels and follow the program.like its my new religion. and hit all my daily numbers For the most part im ok 95% of the time with everything ive prepared. It is the great unknow that seems to come completly out of left field that gets me. My list of things so far is short. hopefully it will stay that way * fresh seedless watermelon * 98% FAT FREE chicken soup( strained) * Whole wheat toast ( 1/8 of a slice) * salad ....( this one is upsetting) * Carb balanced soft tortillas Still Grinin' and Thinin'..... 3 Rhyzell, Mel3620 and favor reacted to this

Pr1ncessJulee 116 Posted August 8, 2013 Is anyone else having trouble getting veggies in? I know the order is Protein veggies carbs but I feel like I should be eating more veggies for some reason. Some days the only thing I have with vegetables is Tomato sauce. I have thought that as well. But really isn't that the old way of thinking...that we HAVE to eat a certain way, clean our plates...keep the five food groups etc? Remember that our bodies are now wired differently. We keep our calories waaaayyy low so just a bit of veggies is really all we need. Tonight I ate a cup of split pea soup...my pouch loved it and I did feel kinda good with the veggies in my bod while still getting 11 grams of protein. I do understand, this is way I have to start over with liquid a few days after each stuck episode, to give your pouch a break from the sock...My last episode lasted 48 hours. I guess I need to shake the old habits. I do always eat my protein first but I'm always so full after that that fitting veggies in is tricky. I have been eating chicken cesear salads like every other day but other then that its pretty much Tomato sauce.
Baconville 578 Posted August 8, 2013 RJ - So glad to hear you are feeling better!! I have not experienced dumping yet, but I have not eaten anything that could potentially cause it either. I am sure my day is coming! Just another not so much fun part of this journey we are all on. At least we have some good folks to travel it with us!! 2 favor and Weight Warrior reacted to this
Monica74 38 Posted August 8, 2013 So today marks week 8 since my surgery and I was super hungry today. Missed Breakfast because I had to take my son to the doctor & didn't plan well. So at lunch I ate a whole yogurt and two cheese sticks! I can't beleive I was able to eat the much in one sitting. My tummy was definitely full after that but not painfully full. Is that normal? Last night I could barely eat a small piece of flounder. Has anyone else had this experience? 1 favor reacted to this
