This is a little TMI but I have to ask. I'm 9 days post op and last night I was having watery BM all night and into this AM. Feeling blah. Had my first taste of a Protein Shake yesterday. Could that of been the reason??? Has that happened to anyone else?

All I've had are watery BM's ... but Protein Shakes seem to make them particularly bad

So much for that. The 1/4 cup total of cottage cheese mixed with peaches? Yeah. That came back up. So' date=' so far, I can eat scrambled eggs and yogurt. What the hell did I do to myself? I just wanna cry.[/quote']

I can do 1scrambled egg with a sprinkle of cheese and little salsa.... malt-o-meal. ... and teaspoon refried Beans mixed with a tablespoon plain greek yogurt ..and small amounts of Wendy's chili (a small lasts about 6 meals).... but I cannot tolerate yogurt or Protein Shakes

They're 2.9oz. I couldn't even get through one. I tried it late at night tho. Maybe if I try it earlier on the day. I have more of a chance of getting rid of the taste. Lol.

I also heard it might help to get it really cold.

I also heard it might help to get it really cold.

I had them in the fridge for about 3 hrs before I tried it. They're not quite a juice consistency. They have kind of a creaminess to them. And they're kinda sour. I think if I take a swallow every couple of hours and not try to down it in one sitting, it'll be better.

I been in so much pain, it was like a burning pain along with the soreness, it was so bad I could hardly move. Well the hospital has this med called Toradol, it seem to work miracles, one injection today, tomorrow, two injections, and then on Saturday, one more injection, they said this type of pain management should help me alone, I hope so, that pain I was in...oooweeee!!!! Lol other than that I'm ok. Since my surgery (6/10/13), I'm down ,7 lbs, altogether I've lost 16lbs...now only If I can meet my liquid intake amounts.

When will I have energy again? I start yawning by dinner time which is a problem since I work 3-11. I really want to get back to the gym after work and I'm just so whooped.

Surgery was yesterday morning. Cant believe i am feeling as well as i am! Discharged from the hospital about an hour ago. Feeling pretty good, just occasional spasms or what I think are spasms, it may be gas bubbles. I haven't taken anything for gas. My only real pain is when I take deep breaths in.

I guess I can't do green smoothies anymore. :( Four drinks and BAD stomach pain. This is the first time something hasn't agreed with me. I'm surprised the pain has lasted this long? (half hour).

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
