I have a hard time finding this feed on my android so I don't check it as often.

Junies! I finally found you! I hope everyone is doing well and living healthy!

I am craving carbs and often losing the battle, but luckily still losing...79.5 lbs so far! Woot! I am working hard on my routine and started the couch to 5 K app and it's motivating me to work out regularly. I thrive on routine and haven't been able to get there, and I'm hoping this does the trick.

Hugs to all the Junebugs!

Such a happy group, this thread here is my favorite June post op..I'm down 116 lbs I was sleeved 6/19/13. I kind of go up and down, I hold my breath when I step on the scale hoping my scale don't say 300+ lbs ( my scale speaks) but it was sweet to hear 294lbs . I know they say not to keep going on the scale everyday, there not the ones that took that extra bite, I have to know if I have to walk that extra mile. I'm a emotional eater plus a binge eater, I'm always one bite away from it and I pray that I can lose 70 lbs more lbs. Men lose weight faster, and a girl in my support group I go to lost 68lbs she was upset that I lost that much and started crying.. I felt so bad so I went and sat and talk to her until she realized how good she was doing. So I will take a pound a week if that what it takes, a loss is a loss and that's a good thing.

Welcome, Mitz! Congrats on your weight loss so far! I can agree with you on the cringing while waiting to find out what the scale says. Lol I was actually stalled for almost 2 months-- longest 2 months ever! Lol everyone on here is SO supportive though! The June thread is very special. :) glad to have ya!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
