Ok so in 4 days I will be 4 months out. I'm 66lbs down. Went from 211 to 145. I have been having kidney stones and colic so they told me to switch from whey Protein. Not easy. I wasn't good about shakes before. Lately I've been eating a lot of steamed edamame which are high in soy protein so that's nice. I've had 3 esophageal dilations for a stricture and I finally meet with my urologist today. Wish me luck! Kidney stones are a you-know-what!
oh kidney stones, them stones sent me to the ER on my hands and knees, it was worse than labor pains, I wish you well.

How many ounces are you guys eating in a serving? I am still only able to get about 3 maybe 3.5 ounces in during a meal. I measure and weigh all my meals. Is this pretty average to the rest of june surgeries?

Yep, I'm right there, super stuffed if I eat much more.

I eat about that much as well. I can eat a little more when it's yogurt or oatmeal.

I am so frustrated! I have been stuck at 209 for about 3 weeks. This is the weight I have been at before and could never get below. I gave up after a few months and gained it all back and more. I am so afraid I will give up. :(

I'm kinda going thru the sane thing, Mel. It was so hard to pass up cake at work yesterday. I wanted to give up so bad. But some how I got the strength to pass it up. I often dwell on my program and think I'm not doing it right. It becomes an obsession at times. (actually every waking moment). I'm constantly reviewing the counts from my fitness pal. Reading and rereading articles on the Web about wls. I think I'm loosing my mind!

I think our bodies know when we are close to onderland ...it took me forever to cross the threshold. Now I feel that way about 180s. Im at 184 and feel like im never going to see 170s. My low with my band was 180 so that is a hurdle I want to get past. I totally get it.

You'll do great and be in onderland before you know it. :)

Thanks for the encouragement. I sure hope wonderland is soon! I feel like none of my friends and family understand. They all like to say, but look how much you have lost. I am thankful for those pounds that are gone, but I am so ready to go lower!

I'm the same but it depends on what kind of food it is. Grilled chicken I can have about 4 oz but with the frozen turkey meatballs I eat I can only have 2 oz. I can eat a whole yogurt but finishing a Protein Shake sometimes is hard. I guess I'm all over the place. Lol. No more then about 4 oz tho.

I've been floating between 189 and 187 for the past two weeks. It's driving me nuts. I've upped my Protein and exercise but nothing has helped. I might try couch 2 5k tomorrow and see if that helps.

Don't worry you will continue to move forward!

I'm struggling too but a bit differently. I'm at 226-- lowest I've ever been in my adult life by about 25 lbs, and I'm having a really hard time wrapping my head around the fact that I need to (and will) lose more. My goal is 175, so I've got a good way to go. But I don't even recognize myself. All my friends, co workers- all who are very supportive and so happy for me- think I look great, but they are seeing me like I've never been as well.

I have to really believe and know that I am NOT DONE YET! I need to keep losing and get to my goal. I am so grateful for this forum and knowing I'm not alone.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
