Well' date=' my 6 month appointment was this morning. I unfortunately did not quite make my goal. I could not have been much closer as I am currently down 99.6 pounds. So even though I have not had that amazing feeling of being down 100 pounds yet, I know it will only be a matter of days. I did find out that I have lost 25 inches between my neck, waist and hips. My new goal is to spend New Years Day in onederland.

I will also admit that I have seen the weight loss slow down this month. I had been averaging about 5 pounds a week. Since the first of September I have lost 15 pounds. Still a good loss, but definitely slower. I just need to keep reminding myself that this is a journey not a sprint![/quote']

In every world except our self-critical weight focused world, 99.6 rounds to 100 so since I think like a Finance manager, you made it!!!! Extra great for your accomplishments!

I'm beating myself up tonight. I ate nearly 980 calories! I haven't been able to eat for the past week hardly at all. Today I just kinda let the food flow. When I added it up on my fitness pal and saw the total I freaked out! I burned almost half walking but I fell like a whale tonight. Ugh

Realty check. It's 980 calories. Not 9800 as I'm sure most of us did at some point pre-op. 980 is still an extremely lie calorie intake. Cut yourself a little slack.

My NUT told me last week that at 3 months out I needed to be between 1000-1200 calories. I usually get right at 1000 daily. Do not beat yourself up! It might even work in your weight favor and freak your body out and you'll lose more.

I didn't think of that. Thanks. I did get up at 3:50 am this morning. I accomplished the hill I used to only dream of walking to...today i actually ran up the sob, down, and did the same for a total of 9 times! Don't feel so bad today. I actually am feeling very proud of myself and no longer loathe that dang super steep hill.

Well, I promised I would post this here first. The scale reported this morning that I have officially lost 100.2 pounds!! Feels great that I can FINALLY say I have lost 100 pounds instead of ALMOST 100 pounds!! I wanted the number for my 3 month yesterday, but the real goal was the end of the month, and that I did!

This weekend hubby and I are going away for a romantic weekend at a bed and Breakfast. Now we can Celebrate our 19 year wedding anniversary and my fist 100 pounds lost!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
