Hi Junies! I'm doing ridiculously well' date=' in fact maybe too well...been falling into some bad food habits. Some things like crackers and even candy go down soooo easily. I'm clearly not a 'dumper', so I have to watch the sugar!

I'm vegetarian -pescatarian really, shellfish only- and for Protein I do yogurt, Beans, and nuts mostly, plus one 30 gram Protein Shake in the morning. In restaurants I do well with shrimp, scallops, and mussels. I'm loving eating salad again too, kind of crave it.

Having trouble with getting many veggies in, but once again I think it's bad habits as opposed to them disagreeing with me.

Soooo...gotta work on the food it never ends! Down 68 lbs though![/quote']

I've been getting into bad habits too. Missing lunch, snacking on SunChips, and probably too many nuts. We've gotta watch that!

Me too. Every night for a week or so I've been having three spoon fulls of breyers carb smart ice cream. It only has four grams of sugar in a half a cup and I have no where near that but still. It makes me think I can have all ice cream. Need to break that habit and only have it every once in a while.

How many mg of sodium are you all taking in a day?

I average around 800/900 a day and I am retaining some Fluid but that doesn't seem like to much.

???

How many if you have had lab work done? My surgeon doesn't do it until sometime after 6 months. Don't recall when, but thinking it might be a year. Seems too long to wait. Want to make sure my Vitamin levels are good. My GP denied my request for labs.

I'm going in at 3 months to get all my levels checked. Standard procedure at my practice. Maybe your Bari doc will approve the labs?

My surgeon does labs at 6 months post op. My general doctor did them in August. (2 months post op) but she always does the labs every three moths because of the diabetes

So I had an afternoon movie date today. The guy text me all day about how he was looking forward to seeing me. I got to the theater and he never showed up. I called and text and waited 20 mins before I left. As i sat in front of the theater I couldn't help but to feel like the same fat girl who didn't have a prom date. I have to wonder' date='.will I ever stop feeling like the rejected fatty? Even 100 lbs from now will I still have these same evil thoughts?

That is really shitty...of him! He obviously wasnt worth your time! It has not reflection at all on you; it is totally his problem, and his loss! Keep your head up as there are much more deserving men out there! ♥♥

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
