Thanks!! Any little bit helps' date=' I'm gonna be scared first time I eat lol[/quote']

I make a Protein Shake out of whey Protein and vanilla almond milk. The almond milk has only 30 calories for 8 ounces. I have also discovered DaVinci syrups. They are on the internet. They are sugar free, carb free and calorie free. This evening I had a chocolate protein shake with the almond milk and some banana Syrup. It was tasty and helps with a sweet tooth. The syrups can also be added to coffee. Good luck. That's my best tip today.

I have had a pretty bad morning too! I had my revision on 7/21/13. I must say today I have been so nauseous I cannot keep my fluids down. I haven't thrown up yet but the nausea feels as bad as the moment I woke up from surgery...any tips?????

Im sorry you're feeling bad, did your doc prescribe Zofran? It really helps with the nausea.

Yes I'm on Zofran and Phenergan. I talked to the office NP today and they are really concerned I'm not getting enough calories or liquids in... Now they are talking about a possible admission for IV fluids :(

I get most from food. I occasionally have a shake made with instant coffee or with frozen fruit/yogurt. My NUT said to not have more than 45g carbs a day.

I had to go to the hospital 4 days in a row for liquids, they didn't hospitalize me but they did send me home everyday with an iv though. I hope it works out, keep us posted, oh have u tried sugar free popsicles?

I am just past 7 weeks - will be 8 weeks on Tuesday. My clinic has a very limited eating plan - at least compared to what I read many are eating here. I am to get between 50 - 60 grams of Protein and at least 68 ounces of Water. I am told not to pay attention to calories, but I am usually just over 300 a day. I am only allowed 3, 1/4 cup meals a day with no Snacks. I split a 30 gram Protein Shake, half in the morning and half at night. I have found an easy lunch to be a low fat mozzarella string cheese stick. I would recommend contacting your NUT and finding out their recommendations.

Same here, my clinic in the beginning wants us to concentrate on protein and water, we not counting calories right now.

I looked at your diary and I would suggest increasing how many calories you take in each day. Each time I've had a stall I would increase by about 100 calories for a while and I would start losing again pretty quickly. If your body goes in to starvation mode it will start storing fat instead of losing it.

Hope this helps!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
