ajustice 484 Posted June 12, 2013 I think I found it. My heart rate was crazy and I was so shaky. I had to travel for work and I thought I was being wise getting taco meat and Beans with the cheese. Huge mistake. I'm still feeling shaky. Hope it passes soon

ajustice 484 Posted June 13, 2013 Ahhh..... I hear ya' date=' you will find out real quick what you can eat and what you cant. Feel better soon.[/quote'] Thanks you. I had a rough 45min and it passed. Thank The Lord. I hope not to ever have this happen again but venturing out with new foods again I'm scared now.
life_after_gastric_bypass 214 Posted July 1, 2013 I hate that feeling...If i am traveling, i usually bring my own Snacks and food with me cause I never know what I am getting from the outside and I never know how my pouch will react... (safe foods is what I call it...) *sighs* the things we go through now... don't be afraid to try new foods...just do it when your home first...(works for me

SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted August 20, 2013 My first was around week 3....but as you broaden out and are eating new foods is when you'll really find out. HW 312, pre-op (RNY) 255, current weight 200.
vicki s 146 Posted August 20, 2013 I thought dumping was sweets and fat...why beef and Beans and cheese...was it fat?
w106fox 62 Posted August 20, 2013 I thought dumping was sweets and fat...why beef and Beans and cheese...was it fat? Dumping can happen with any food/drink. If you eat or drink to fast you can dump. I had my first at 4 weeks post op - off Tums!! Myrtle the pouch tells me what I can and can't eat. If she doesn't like something, she throws it right back at me. vicki s 146 Posted August 20, 2013 LOL....Myrtle?...How cute!! I want to name my pouch now....hahaha.....Tums, really?? 1 w106fox reacted to this
califmomto4 84 Posted August 20, 2013 I don't think I have ever experienced dumping. I am over 4 months. I am careful about what I eat but now I wonder if I will? Ive thought about eating something sugary to test it....but I'm afraid that if I DON'T react....knowing that will be a problem. Maybe I should just rely on the fear of dumping?? 1 vicki s reacted to this

terry1118 1,274 Posted August 20, 2013 I've had plenty of episodes of food getting stuck and a couple of eating to fast w/similar painful unpleasant results. I haven't had anything w/sugar, fat, Pasta, rice, white potatoes or white flour - all things I've been told to stay away from. I don't know yet if I'm a dumper. The fear that I will is enough for me to avoid the foods I've been told can cause it. (I don't need to get burned to learn to stay away from fire. Lol) Whatever works... 1 vicki s reacted to this
