Lisa R 39 Posted June 12, 2013 I had RNY on June 3, and am 10 days post op. I gad a rough time of it but am feeling stronger daily. As I type this, I'm sitting here after midnight unable to sleep. My legs are so restless I have to move them constantly or go nuts. I'm not even tired after Tylenol PM. I never has restless legs before but my mom does. Have any of you connected WLS with restless legs syndrome?

renjames 30 Posted July 10, 2013 I had been diagnosed with restless leg syndrome from when I had sleep apnoea there is medication that you can have that will settle let down it's usually I think the same as they give people for Parkinson's disease check with your doctor to see if that will help

Anniesmom12 181 Posted July 10, 2013 seems like this happens to me a couple times a week. I have written down the days it happens to see what is going on with my diet/exercise maybe those days. I have found that it is days I dont get enough Protein along with not walking on those days. So ... not sure which of the two it is...but going to keep tracking to find out. It is enough to drive you nuts when you can not simply get the legs to be still so you can rest!!

Talked to my nut. about this. She said it definitely could be an Iron deficiency or folate/ B12 deficiency. They're going to do some labs.
