Can anyone suggest to me or have anyone else had a weight stall? What have everyone been doing to start their weight loss going again?

How many gms of Protein do you get? Up your protein, increase your fluids, increase or change up your exercise.

I try to get as much Protein as possible but what type of exercising gets you going? I am doing hand weights ant the stationary bike. Maybe I'm not exercising long enough.

we all hit stalls.. its normal. I try to get at least 80-100 gms of Protein (foods, bars and shakes), 64oz of Water (plus other liquids) and I increased my cardio workout from 30 -45 min now at an hour.

Switch up what your eating protein wise, switch up your exercise routine.

Hope this helps you!

I've done that too... Just Protein Drinks one day. I've also started drinking Protein Drink before and after excersise. I recently added leg weights which I use for leg excersises and ab work. Mostly I just walk between 2-5 miles every other day. Seems on the days I walk, I gain weight the next day.. go figure.

It's probably the first of many stalls . Your body is adjusting and will start back to loosing. At four weeks out have you started walking? I would increase my walking by 5 minutes then 10 etc. make sure your getting all your fluids. Your probably on your Protein drinks now so hard to say increase Protein. Just follow your plan and it will happen. You should also measure yourself. When I don't loose I measure and alway see a loss in inches.. Good luck we've all been where you are and it will start back up!!!

Ya I've been walking 2 miles about 4 times a week and also Water aerobics 2 times a week. I'm trying to get in protein at about 69-80 grams a day. It's just frustrating. This is starting week 2 of this damn stall!! Hopefully your right!! I'm ready to get on with this!!

My first stall lasted about 3 weeks and it is very frustrating. I started using map my walk and it helped with decreasing my time and increasing my distance walking. Also when you are cleared to lift weight I would highly recommend incorporating them into your work out routine

So finally broke the stall (2 weeks approx.) All I did was have more calories and less Protein for a day. ..I lost 1/2 lb...but its a loss...guess I needed to trick my body a lil bit... ;)

I'm going back to work tomorrow so I'm hoping the changes will help me to break my stall.

I admit I had a few things I should not have ate. Its still a mind game when it comes to eating. My thing is I have to get off my lazy butt and exercise. I went from a 58" waist to 52" post op RNY 3/5/13 372 now 329 but I did go up a few weeks ago to 340. My lowest weight was 327. I am happy that I can get on a normal persons scale at the doctors now. I thought I was the only one who had a stall or gain.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
