I'm great!!! I hear ya about the pouch not being stretched..I know eventually it will get a bit bigger but I don't want to be the one to over stretch it! I also couldn't believe I had the surgery cause didn't feel diff and its amazing how it seemed to just all fall back into place afterwards. The phases of diets I've had to move up we're not exactly easy but I know this is the best I've felt in 8-10 years! My pain in my back, hips, and ankles are pretty much gone! This surgery has given me my life back and I honk so many others here can attest to that.

Hey everyone,

10 days out and doing amazingly well.

Getting my protiein, fluids and vitiamins. have had no real bad side effects .walk almost every day ( weather permitting ) past couple of dayshave been beautiful and i have been walking between 1 mile and a 1-3/8 mile hopefully next week kick it up to two miles ....this is a huge improvement to 6 months ago was avering 100 yards and needing to sit down and take a rest

I live in a quaint little town that has been around for Approx. 200 years , some very old Historical homes and building on every block, Its amazing what you see if you just walk around and look ...

Hope everyone is comming through this ok ?

That is fantastic! Great job!!

I just started feeling a bit better yesterday and had more strength. The conversion to RNY took more out of me than I expected. I still have a G drain to my old stomach and I think that is part of it as I am nauseated a lot.

I have been getting my Vitamins and Water in but not quite there on Protein. Hopefully today will be the day. I was able to eat a whole scrambled egg for lunch today which was good. We're off and running now!! :)

I love it! I haven't started a cleaning frenzy yet but I am sure it will come. I hadn't thought about the magnets too funny.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
