waterlily1072 5 Posted February 19, 2007 OK hoping to find a lower calorie way to mix my tuna. Currently I use mayo, and have to use enough so that it sticks together, otherwise it is to dry for me and tastes yucky. I can't stand it plain. I don't personally care for low cal mayo. I am gonna try adding mustard to cut down on the amount of mayo needed. Does anyone have any suggestions to try?
libertysuzanne 1 Posted February 19, 2007 Have you thought about trying natural yogurt? It may be a wee bit more tangy than mayo but it's a bit healthier!
Jachut 487 Posted February 19, 2007 I usually buy the flavoured cans, so there's a little bit of oil in them, but they're not very high calorie. I usually dump them on top of a salad. Occasionally I'll eat a tuna sandwich or have some on some crackers.
Louisianagirl 0 Posted February 19, 2007 Iam the same way, I can't eat it without mayo. I buy Hellmans it has less fat than Bluplate and Kraft. I tryed low-fat and fat-free, and I can't stand it. I try to use little as possiable.

enterprise01 0 Posted February 19, 2007 OK hoping to find a lower calorie way to mix my tuna.... I don't personally care for low cal mayo. I am gonna try adding mustard to cut down on the amount of mayo needed. Does anyone have any suggestions to try? How about Miracle Whip? It's much lower in calories than mayo. I usually make chicken salad and tuna salad with half low-fat Miracle Whip and half low-fat mayo. I don't particularly like tuna, so I often mix it with just a little bit of mayo, a lot of salsa, and a dab of horseradish. The salsa really cuts the fishy taste. piercedqt78 658 Posted February 19, 2007 Try low fat or fat free sour cream. I don't eat tuna but this is how I make my chicken salad and it's good. ~Mandy
LapBandFan 22 Posted February 19, 2007 I use Kraft light ranch dressing and sometimes just use Light Miracle Whip, chop up some pickles into it and yummy.
piercedqt78 658 Posted February 19, 2007 I have also done the ranch dressing with chicken. I love cilantro dressing also, I get it from trader joe's. ~Mandy
