I know everywhere you go the scale is different but how much of a difference?

In my digital scale I'm 109 in my old fashion scale I'm 114 now today at the state doctor appointment I was 123?

What is my weight? At home or at the doctor? If I'm going according to the doctor I'm going to weight every 6 months now yearly.

I'm so confused I guess after all I'm not over weight but I'm not a stick neither.

I would go by the scale you use everyday at home...and stop worrying about that scale cuz you look tiny as heck! Lol

I was always told that the most accurate weight was first thing in the morning after you pee. You are supposed to weight yourself in your birthday suit and it will give you the most accurate weight.

As the day goes on you weight more because of Water and gravity. Also at the doctor you are being weighted with your clothes and shoes on.

There was a four pound difference between my docs at 3:00 in the afternoon and mine at home in the morning. I didn't sweat it because I was a number on a scale for so long, I'm not going to give it that much power over my life anymore. I'm losing, you're absolutely tiny and that's that.

Wow! 109? What's your starting weight before surgery?

I use the glass weight watchers scale at home, and it is right on point with my surgeons scale.

Okay, what I am going to say is a case of "do as I SAY, not as I DO" and my thoughts on the subject. I will try to follow my own advice. :-)

If you have lost all your weight THROW AWAY the damn scale. If you are eating healthy foods and watching portion size you don't need to weigh yourself. If your clothes fit use that as your guide. I have skinny friends who don't own scales and judge over indulgences by the way their clothes fit. A little tightness and they cut back. How wonderful not to be ruled by a scale!

If you are losing, use the scale as only one tool to measure your progress. Another tool is body measurements, which can still change in stalls especially if you are working out as muscle weighs more than fat. Yet another is the fit of your clothes - a good indicator of change.

Time and time again I have had my day ruined or in some way negatively affected by the dreaded scale. I do my morning 'business' and weigh myself naked, then get depressed if my doctor's scale is ten pounds more than mine (after meals, two cups of coffee, and wearing clothes and shoes - why am I ever surprised?). It has had the power to change my mood and affect my behavior. I have indulged in self-pity fueled binges on junk food based on what my scale has shown me. Why should an inexpensive electronic device have such a negative affect on my life?

I resolve to start using my scale as a tool to measure real progress

I resolve not to let it be my ONLY measure of success.

I resolve to weigh myself once a week ONLY

I resolve to throw the damn thing away when the tool has lost it's usefulness to me.

I resolve to never let an inanimate object have power over my life again!

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Test them out by putting a weight on them and see how accurate they are. My digital scale seems to be very close to the doctors scale.

Thanks everyone I will test out the scale.

Will try not to judge by scale if not by clothes. I do notice I haven't change lmbo still wearing size 1 small clothes so I'm going with the clothes it's better judge for me.

Due to the earths gravity pull all scales are off by at least +30-40, plus your clothes and Water weight... RMAO

Always deduct about 50 lbs from any scale then go by an averaged amount just to be fair.... LOL

Wishful thinking!!!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
