I went for a massage today, first one since 2 weeks before surgery last August.... and i had PLENTY of room on the table!!! Last time I was almost hanging off the table on each side!! It felt amazing to lay there, arms by my side comfortable and not have to worry about falling off!! to be honest the reason i havent had one since before surgery....cause I was totally embarassed that the guy doing it knew i was too heavy for the table!! Not any more!! I'll have to use this as a treat again when I get my next 50 lbs off!! (this was my 100lb treat, just got the nerve up to go!)

Congratulations!!! What a wonderful idea for a reward! I have NEVER had a massage because I couldn't stand the embarrassment of someone seeing me like that. I'm definitely going to consider that, maybe on my vacation in Sept. :-)

Yes, it helps with back pain. I dont have any back issues, my husband has back problems and has massages routinely to help ease the pain. He said it helps him way more than medications do. Try it, I know you'll love it!

Oh I will try it out. Anything to help this back issue. Physical therapy isn't working anymore. I'm so looking toward to the X-ray Monday. According to my physical therapist he said my back bone is bent. So idk lets see what happens but if this massage helps out with pain I will do anything to help me out. Enough with my never ending back issue lmbo

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
