Anyone have a case where AFLAC has paid them anything for their surgery? It looks like all bariatric procedures aren't covered...but could I still get my hospital benefit? I've never filed a claim and don't really know where to start.

Isn't it hospitalization due to injury sustained in an accident? This is elective so I don't think it pertains.

Not sure!!

I should specify I don't have the accident plan. I have the medical one. Pays for preventative exams, surgeries, hospitalization etc.

I called AFLAC. I definitely won't get the surgery benefit. I may get hospital confinement and short term disability if I can prove the procedure to be medically necessary.
