Mine is more I feel the heat & humidity just zaps me so I don't want to eat. Have to force the fluids and then some tho cause I live in FL. I'm always hot and sweating. I'd love my "side effect" of wls to be feeling cold all the time but nope. So..yes the heat makes it harder to eat & perhaps makes nausea I've had worse

Hadn't thought about it but my appetite has been weird the last couple weeks...I'm okay for a bite here or there but a real 'meal' holds no appeal at all...this has just been since the humidity hit central arkansas...interesting.

It's been in the 90's the past few days in jersey. All I really eat now are salads and icees.

Hello. I am 8 weeks post op and I am just getting into solids. I am having the same issues though. I have no desire to eat. Thinking about food makes me nauseous. Any suggestions as to what I should do? I am becoming lethargic and not healthy.

It's always been like that for me..any weight I lost was usually in the summer..I'm using sugar free Popsicles now as my extra fluids. I had also bought a icee machine for my son and I have found several bottles of the sugar free "syrup" lol liquids..and it's great! I have blue raspberry and some Hawaiian punch and I'm digging it now! My son even likes the sugar free.

Try some sugar free Popsicles. Might help. Even with the nausea I've had..I can handle the Popsicles pretty well. Maybe it would help some

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
