I am 13 days out. SW 248! DS 228, CW. 217. My DR said I can start eating whatever I can tolerate. He said there's nothing I can eat that will damage sutures. This makes it easier to tolerate but harder to track exact Protein.< /p>

Hi everyone, I haven't been on any forum about this in at least 1year or so.

I'm 2 years post sleeve op and have lost 27kg but put back on 5kg. I think this is the end of my journey and sadly still have to lose another 25kg to get to my goal weight. It's like an endless diet and not a lifestyle change. I don't know how much more I can possibly do to make me lose weight. I've tried everything and it's like my body resists it.

Has anyone been sleeved and experiencing the same issues? Sorry for sounding like a Debbie downer but I'm feeling I'm at the last resort now.

I had to choose "Other"...because my weight loss journey is complete...finished!

Had the surgery, and for the following years I learned (the hard way). to eat differently, and what I did eat I learned to choose the best I could.

There are some foods I gave up, going to the gym, drinking Water, Vitamins, etc, etc all became a new normal habit...

With this new lifestyle I lost all the excess weight I could, my body slowly reversing itself until I reached a point of "Equilibrium" which also has a Normal to low body fat %....

So, thanks to the Lap band, my hunger and cravings are held at check, along with my ability to over eat or "Binge"

I now take for granted day to day what and how I eat, not having to "Think" about it.

With this new lifestyle, my weight has returned to where it should be.

I am addicted to going to the gym, started "Running"...

"DIET" is nothing but a 4 letter word....it's all part of this "New Normal"

So, for me, I'm finished...every journey has to have a destination, and I reached mine...otherwise, my Journey would be wandering around in the wilderness forever....eventually it has to lead somewhere.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
