So here are some things I can really notice and am adjusting to:

My knees-I can see the bones again and I actually need to sleep with a small pillow between them!

I can also feel a hip bone finally (still under fat) but it's there! sleeping on my side is actually a little uncomfortable and I change sides frequently.

Sorry this one is crude but when I sit on the toilet, I immediately notice how much of my butt is gone and it feels great to fit on the seat (and much easier to wipe).

Here's another crude one: had sex with husband for first time in a while (he's been away for work) and it felt totally different when he was on top of me because my "fopa" is GONE!!! (Aka belly).

I'm totally with you on the boney knees. I had trouble sleeping because they felt annoying with the bones do close. I have a pillow there too.

I keep checking out my collar bone. I keep touching it to reassure myself it's actually there.

Yeah I agree about the collar bone too - though my right side is destroyed and looks pretty ratty now that you can see it more.

I had not anticipated that my knee bones would hurt when I sleep from bumping. I cannot imagine that skinny people feel this though.

I know I said this before but the first time I felt my hip bones I thought it was a tumor... And honestly my collar bones feel gross to me. But I like the way they look... Lol

Last night my daughter was rubbing my back...and she said "Mom, you have shoulder bones back here!" I laughed and said "who knew!".... Then she proceeded to find my spine too! Over the weekend we went swimming and she noticed that my ankle bones "stick out" now....

It's pretty cool! And I noticed in the mirror that my collar bones are showing too! Wow, how wonderful it is to see/feel all of these bones finally!

I havent thought of the pillow for the knees...but it's a good idea!

But in the winter you can finally wear layers without looking and feeling like a 'blob'. Am I the only one who refuses to wear layers because they always ride up and expose the unlovely parts of me? I want to wear a bulky sweater, scarves, and a wool peacoat!

I always wanted a peacoat and boots. My calves were always too huge for boots though. Maybe soon!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
