Ammariehs mommy 150 Posted August 30, 2013 I actually told a friend of my sisters that he's the guy that would ask an alcoholic to have just one beer with him when he kept after me to go out to a buffet with them! Also having to use the handicapped stall in the restroom' date=' and ordering two or three drinks in the drive through to pretend I am getting food for more than just me! It's been a long journey to get to this point and I am so ready to get the extra help having this surgery will give me![/quote'] I understand totally! I have this one friend who has just settled with being fat. She can hardly walk and has so many healthy problems and she's addicted to food. She always wants to go to the buffet. I have to actually get into an argument with her to let her know I'm not going. It so sad to watch people you love go down hill when you are trying so hard to help yourself. And the handicap bathroom stall is exactly where I go! Sucks but I'm working on getting my weight down so I can get the surgery. Oh and I used to do the pretend drive they orders everyday. Lol I never cook fast food is my weakness!
ajustice 484 Posted August 30, 2013 I won't miss....sweating! Not the good going to the gym sweating. The type where I sweat if I move, getting out of the shower, walking to my car, bending over, small exertion. It never mattered if it was July or January..I was always sweating and always seem to have pockets of nasty sweat under my boobs and rolls. Lately..I've been cold! It's Aug!!! 4 bigjimskiki, Dorian, cookier224 and 1 other reacted to this

ReaRaes 49 Posted October 13, 2013 Things I will not miss Having to rock forwards and back to gain momentum to get off the couch/chair/out of the car Getting out of breath just having a conversation Dreading a walk down the hall to visit with students Coming home in pain and wanting to go right to bed Looking out the window thinking how I would love to get out and weed but I can't cause I can't kneel, bend over, or stand to be out in the heat Being the biggest one in the office by a long shot Checking my blood sugars 5x a day Injecting Insulin Feeling fat and ugly and like nothing looks good on me Wondering what in my closet I can put on today that will look good Incontinence/praying I can make it to the bathroom without wetting my pants
kkelly37 21 Posted October 13, 2013 I am a home health CNA. I will not miss new clients looking at me like "how can she take care of me when she obviously can't take care of herself". Or telling my clients Id rather sit in the floor because I am afraid of breaking their furniture. I also will not miss knowing my husband could do better. I won't miss being insecure around his friends and his size 0 and size 4 sisters.

I won't miss being insecure around his friends and his size 0 and size 4 sisters. I also felt that way about my husband and his family. My husband works out constantly and looks way younger than his 54 years. I never wanted to be seen with him because I was embarrassed for HIM. And his family is Nowegian. He, his mom, and his two sisters are all six feet tall and slim (his mom and one sister both did some modeling when they were young). I'm 5' tall and went from 107 pounds to 233 after having my three children. I looked like a weeble.

LessofKat 38 Posted October 14, 2013 Omg! This has my laughing and crying at the same time, I never really thought about all the stuff us "fluffy" folks had to go through. So it has got me thinking about all the things I'm not going to miss like... The marks you get in you skin from jeans and when you take off your jeans it hurts and you scratch it until you break the skin!! The fear of breaking chairs because you are so heavy. Having to hoist yourself in and out of a car. Feeling ashamed when I am out to eat and getting all the stares from people and I know they are thinking "tubby should have gotten a salad"!! Turning down social gatherings because you're afraid of being the fat one. Threatening your mother-in-law to take down the fat pics of you from Facebook. Hearing how confident I am for the size I am!! (Really!!!) Telling Lane Bryant to kiss my ass and not have to spend a ton of money just to get a pair of jeans!! (Really excited about this one!!) I'm not going to miss not being able to play with my kids and not planting the flowers they have been begging to do but I'm to fat to do it!! I'm not going to miss the heartburn!! The holes that your thighs rub into your pants. Boring sex with my husband because I am to fat to do more than one position (sorry if tmi). That's all I can think of for now. Thanks for starting this post it has kind of help me put things into perspective and realize how limited I am! 1 roundfuzzy reacted to this

terry1118 1,274 Posted October 14, 2013 One more thing not to miss. I forgot about all my pants getting worn so thin at the thighs that the split. :-p Also won't miss people congratulating me on my 'pregnancy'. I'm 54, get real people! Lol
u-no-it 28 Posted October 14, 2013 I have to say that reading your post is so true. I understand many of them. I think the biggest one for me will be the not feeling so insecure about the clothes I wear to work that I am ostracized! It is really hard to look somewhat professional when there is not much to choose from in a limited amount of money. I do shop at discount stores but the selection is very slim (no pun intended). I think I will miss the asking for a seatbelt extension on the airplane or the seat with more room (which usually has a screaming child next to you). Or not being able to ride the rides at the amusement park because the belly fat goes over the bar and the people are moving it to make sure you are buckled in. Or this happened the other day..i was in a ride and the seat belt actually fit, but it was the other seat's seatbealt and so everyone had to wait until I was unbuckled (as they had already put the bar down) and then re-buckle which again was a task....A comment about jeans...the missing of after taking them off the feeling of still having them on as the marks are still there (seams)... 1 Chelle reacted to this

RDCLambert 39 Posted October 18, 2013 I loved reading all of these and can relate to most! One of my huge " I will not miss" is not being able to be close to mh daughter. She tries to sit in my lap to snuggle or read a book, or even just rocking her. She is either on top or next to my huge stomach and I cant WAIT to hold her close with nothing in the way!! 1 Chelle reacted to this
