music1618 879 Posted May 27, 2013 I just wanted to wish everyone a good Memorial Day. This day is always special to me as I have many family and friends that have served or plan to serve our country. We would not be here without their sacrifice. I also say a big thanks to the family of soldiers. They sacrifice just as much as the solider. Also stay strong on this day of cook outs and family gatherings. terry1118 1,274 Posted May 27, 2013 My son is a marine serving on the the west coast, an entire continent away. He just finished his first deployment and is coming home on leave in four weeks. It's been a year since I've seen my baby and I'm hoping I feel 'normal' when he is here. I'm very excited!! As for the cookouts, I do all the family gatherings since my father-in-law passed away. We are the only ones with a house big enough. I passed on it this time, no explanation, just said I was busy. :-) And I am busy! Surgery Thursday! (Though no one but hubby and daughters know). Saturday and yesterday I cleaned the house top to bottom and today I plan to finish the laundry and get my grass cut. Tomorrow I get some groceries and do a little cooking for my hubby.
