Nel 189 Posted May 27, 2013 Body fortress is a whey isolate protein!! Actually, it's not. whey Protein concentrate is before the whey Protein isolate. That means that you aren't absorbing over half of that, from what I understand. "In a Protein Powder, you want whey or soy isolate. That is what is best absorbed. Whey concentrate is not absorbed as well. Avoid those Protein Shots, because they contain mostly collagen protein and that is not well absorbed at all." Here is what is in the Body Fortress Protein: "Super Whey Protein Blend (Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate), Super Recovery Blend (Glycine, Creatine Monohydrate, Taurine, Threonine, L-Glutamine, Leucine, Valine, Isoleucine)," 1 blueeyezz85 reacted to this

Mine is the whey protein and comes from Walmart. From what I was told, the basic whey protein is fine to take as a supplement. It is 30 grams per scoop, and that is all our bodies can absorb at a time. If you mix it with milk, you are getting enough. If shakes are all you are doing, the isolate would be the better choice to ensure you are getting the most protein. Not sure if this accurate, but I get enough protein as a rule without the shakes. I just do them to add more. Am I totally wrong??

futuremrsparker 288 Posted May 27, 2013 I have to agree with Body Fortress. I love both the vanilla and chocolate! You can get 2 of the containers on Amazon for $24. Or like $13 a piece at the grocery store!
futuremrsparker 288 Posted May 27, 2013 Best thing is, it's not gritty like most Protein powders. That's what I like about it.

Course I only do one scoop of protein powder a day ... At this stage of the game I get most of mine from food. Dl coggin the guru of protein on this sight uses the same protein powder I do.. So maybe he can chime in.
Neoflasher 3 Posted May 28, 2013 I have found the whey isolate but only in vanilla. I have not been able to find the chocolate. Vanilla is a little sweet but tastes great. Currently I'm just trying Proteins for when its time to depend on them.
Pheonix9000 3 Posted May 29, 2013 I talked to my Dietician and she told me that the combination of both whey concentrate and whey isolate is fine, you still absorb some of the concentrate. I use the body fortress brand at Walmart as well.
