I have been feeling icky today & not sure why. My surgery was May 7th & just started puréed food this last week & not doing too good. Milk seems to help but don't want to depend on it too much. I have a feeling it might be the lack of Vitamins which I started up again. Has anyone experienced this?

It takes time to heal and adjust. I went thru that feeling, feeling great, tired, pukey, just take it easy and introduce new foods slowly. I was scared to drink cow milk so I do almond milk (unsweetened) it will get better, but I does take time.

Thanks. I think I just want to feel normal again. Cows milk seems to be okay. Someone told me that saltines might help if it's liquified in the mouth.

Vitamins are important cuz we change the way we eat & the amount out body gets so it makes the body jump up & down. If you eat less your tired if you over eat you vomit. Boy do I have my moments. It's all part of healing & getting adjusted to your new life change.

I was fine for four weeks and the last two days...BARF. Going back to liquid for a few days. Just trying to get Protein and Vitamins in today. Yesterday...couldn't get the vitamins in without gagging. It seem like a lot of people get icky about 4-6 weeks out. Maybe because we're trying new food.< /p>

Oh my goodness I am at week 5 and really have a tough time now as well! Always feeling icky especially around mealtimes. I don't want to eat anymore! When I do I feel unwell, it is quite unpleasant.

And my tummy is rumbling and it is as if the food punches me from the inside or something. What a mission! Then I have to sit down or lie down and feel a bit emotional!

I'm almost 5 weeks and have felt good. Hope I don't get this little slump that it seems everyone is having. I have my routine set with shakes, meals, and vitamins/meds. I feel like I'm actually in control and used to it now. Sorry for those that feel icky! I probably just totally jinxed myself now! LOL

I think this is me. I hit week 4 this week & this is so me. I think everything that I purée makes me want to throw up! I know I'm healing but I just want this feeling over.

My sister has been a real help. She had given me tips in taking vitamins. She says it's like I'm pregnant(even though I have never been) because having a little milk with each helps so much.

Man just a few more weeks then I can move to the next step. One step at a time seems to be what I have to do.

Same here. Can't do cheese for about 2 weeks but I've been able to do baked Beans, potatoes, cottage cheese. Saltine crackers have been a huge help. I know they are high in carbs but they settle my stomach.

What do you do when you have no desire to eat? My surgery was May 8th. food is not appealing. It feels like so much work chewing and eating slow. I just want to drink crystal light, and call it a day,

I understand. I have no desire to eat. The funny thing is that I have not lost weight in a week, and my surgery was May 8th. All I want to do is drink CL fruit punch :(

I really try to get in calories...I'm afraid my body will start conserving fat otherwise. I also force protein...I put Protein Powder in my Vitamin Water and v8 splash. That's all I know. The only time I've felt anything like hunger is in the am...then I'll eat 1/3 of an egg.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
