How do others feel when u eat on mushy food

I'm 3 weeks out also and went to lunch with friends. They were quiet shocked and seeing me only take a few bites shocked them even more. 1 more week then on to soft diet. It's challenging but down 22lb so I keep trudging along and hope nobody notices much.
