Marisela 104 Posted May 23, 2013 I feel your pain.. I was not as miserable as you mention but did have a hard time with the back pain, burping felt like having knives dug into my shoulders. I used the heating pad on my back and that helped A LOT!!! When using it on my tummy it only made matters worse!!! Seems like you are doing the right thing with walking as much as you can. Another thing that reaaaally helped me was having someone rub my back, hopefully you get many volunteers for that,
kellbell5 35 Posted May 23, 2013 I am so so sorry. Gas pain is the absolute worst. Pain medication doesn't even help. I tried every thing I could think of. My mom rubbed my chest and back, I laid on the bed with my butt up in the air (gravity, right!?). Gas-x strips don't help the gas pain from the gas they use during the surgery. None of this is helping I'm sure... They absolutely only thing that can and will help.... Is walking. I hated hearing that but it ended up being true. I am so sorry, I wish I had a suggestion better than that. I know when I finally did pass gas I know I have never been so happy to fart in my entire life! YoColeFleet 246 Posted May 23, 2013 That's what I'm afraid off when I have my sergery...the gas and not being able to pass the gas...I'm already a very gassy person and sometimes it is difficult for me to pass gas no before surgery....I'm praying that I don't have that problem when time comes...I'm glad you are able to fart now, it sounds funny but it isn't, farting is serious and can be painful.
