nhnurse1 108 Posted May 24, 2013 Hey Nhnurse congrats on your Weightloss I will be having surgery soon I'm a nurse on a Busy floor how long were you off work before you went back My surgeon required that I take 6 weeks off because of the lifting requirements in my job description. I think it was a good thing. For the first four weeks I was still a little sore if I overdid it and would occasionally need a nap. So the time off was wonderful. Good luck! Cherry 71 Posted May 24, 2013 My weight loss is extremely slow. In 5 wks I have lost only 15 lbs and already experienced 2 stalls. I understand why: I was 199 on day of surgery. I cannot drink shakes so getting my Protein in has been near to impossible. I'm allergic to whey & the vegan shakes are gross PLUS expensive. Right now I'm trying to get eggs, chicken, and turkey in me but I'm not even close to the required amount. So I'm averaging 2-3 lbs/wk. my calories have been 300-400 which prior to surgery, I'd say is very unhealthy for me. I am taking my Vitamins though. 1 Kathy Andrews-Almond reacted to this
